Q1. What are your opening hours?

Our latest opening times can be found on the home page. We are open by appointment at all other times.

In season*, our usual hours are 11am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and Sunday by appointment. Times can vary from 9am to 7pm, so if you are coming especially outside these hours, please call first. We often stay later than published times.

Fireworks are available for retail purchase and displays all year round. Out of season the shop is open by appointment.

*Firework season covers the four weeks before 5th November and the week after, plus the week leading up to New Year's Eve.

Q2. Are you easy to find?

Not always! We have no shop front, so we are easy to miss if you haven't visited before. Look for Aura (formerly Montague's Gallery) and Cheek on the Watford end of Kings Langley High Street. There is a blue gate between the two, and we are up the alleyway through that gate (circled in the photo below). More detailed directions are on our Contact Us page.

Q3. Do you have a brochure?

Our range is large and our stock changes all the time, so we don't produce a brochure. We do have stock lists in the shop to help you choose, which are especially handy if we are busy and you would rather browse than wait for one of our team. We also regularly add new products and videos to this website, so keep an eye out here too.

Q4. Do I have to queue if I just want sparklers?

If you only want sparklers or selection boxes, please speak up! Our team regularly check the queue for anyone who wants to self-select, and will hand out stock sheets showing prices, what each firework does, and which are quiet, noisy, Category 2 or Category 3.

Q5. We've never done a show before. Can you help us choose what to buy?

Yes! Our team have years of experience selling and firing fireworks, and can help you plan a display for any budget, large or small. It helps to come along with an idea of what you would like to spend, and we will ask the right questions to point you in the right direction. Or simply give us a budget and let us put a show together for you.

Q6. I've never fired fireworks before. Can you tell me how to fire them safely?

Yes! All of our staff are trained to give clear instructions on firing every type of firework, and are always happy to advise. Every firework sold to the public must also have full safety instructions printed on its label.
